Tune in to your breath and your body with a playful sequence designed to increase balance, strength, and flexibility. Plenty of variations will be provided, and props are encouraged to help you find the most satisfying version of your practice, whether you are a beginner or an experienced yogi. Expect to be challenged in a variety of ways, but try not to take yourself (or the class) too seriously; laughter is often part of the lesson!
Many of us are constantly on the move, and give so much of ourselves to others. In this restorative yoga practice, allow yourself to slow down, to breathe, and to find space, using gentle movements and cushy props. Close your evening with comfort and calm, and leave the studio feeling supported and restored.
Special Instructions: To make your Restorative practice most satisfying, please bring your own blanket.
Often called yogic sleep, yoga nidra is a blissful practice where you lie down and get totally comfortable, then experience a guided relaxation practice designed to explore the deeper layers of the self. When you feel supported, secure, and content, you may be able to move inward from the sensations of conscious, physical awareness, toward the expansive awareness of "being' where you can TRULY rest.
Whether you are pregnant with your first child, or your fifth, finding a gentle movement practice that provides space to connect with your changing body, and your growing baby is a beautiful and empowering tool. Tune in to your breath and your body, and learn to move in ways that feel safe and nourishing for this stage of your life.
A postnatal yoga practice is a fun and engaging way to connect with your baby, your body, and other new parents. Move through a playful movement practice, which incorporates your infant, while being mindful of many of the mental, emotional, and physical needs of new parents.

I've always been drawn to movement and mindfulness, and completed my AFLCA group fitness leadership certification in 2011. I quickly realized that doing “the grapevine” across a pink and teal step riser in time to music was NOT my jam, and gravitated more toward strength training and yoga instead. In 2012, I completed my 200hr yoga teac

I quickly realized that doing “the grapevine” across a pink and teal step riser in time to music was NOT my jam, and gravitated more toward strength training and yoga instead. In 2012, I completed my 200hr yoga teacher training with YogaWorks, and began sharing yoga in small-town gymnasiums, community centres, and high school classrooms. It seemed a natural fit for me to continue my yoga education throughout 2015 and 2016 with Empowered Yoga's 500hr certification; during that program, I trained in courses such as pre and post-natal yoga, yoga for athletes, meditation and philosophy, yoga for kids, restorative yoga, and yoga nidra, and I seek out more learning whenever possible.
In addition to the yoga gig, I'm a wife, a Mama to two feisty little girls, a dog-Mom, and a Junior/Senior High School English Language Arts teacher, who is just trying to find some humour in the chaos. Exercise and endorphins make me happy, so I spend a lot of time running, playing slopitch, golfing, and just being active whenever I can

I truly believe that integrity is paramount, that lifting up those with less privilege is the way forward, that most people are doing their best, so we should give the benefit of the doubt, and the most important rule is “don't be an asshole.” You can find me on social media through #EatLaughLoveSweat
